His performances for the Cottagers caught the eye of Manchester United and the attention of Sir Alex Ferguson. In a game against Aston Villa in his final season at the club he memorably saved two penalties from Juan Pablo Angel in a 1–1 draw. In total, he notched up 127 league appearances while at Fulham. He made his league debut on 18 August 2001 in a 2–3 away defeat against Manchester United. The following day, Van der Sar was officially unveiled by Fulham, and upon his arrival, he described the move as a "nice friendly atmosphere" and that he felt "appreciated". On 1 August 2001, Van der Sar opted to play in England and joined newly promoted Fulham in a shock move worth £7.0 million, signing a four-year contract. Unwilling to remain as second-choice behind Buffon, Van der Sar made it clear he wished to move on after two years in Serie A. Van der Sar lost his place in the summer of 2001, after the Bianconeri purchased Italian international goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon from Parma for 100 billion lire (approximately £32.6 million), a world-record fee for a goalkeeper. The following season, Van der Sar helped Juventus finish 2 points behind eventual champions A.S. On the final day of the 1999–2000 season, Juventus lost to Perugia Calcio, allowing Lazio to win the title. He was the first-choice goalkeeper during his first two seasons in Italy, making 66 Serie A appearances as Juventus finished runners-up in the league twice under Carlo Ancelotti. He became the first non-Italian to keep goal for the Turin club. He made his debut for The Old Lady in the 1–1 draw with Reggina at the Stadio Delle Alpi. In 1999, van der Sar's stature as one of Europe's top goalkeepers drew attention from Manchester United, who sought a replacement for Peter Schmeichel however, Van der Sar moved to Italian club Juventus for a fee believed to be in the region of £5 million. 1 he won the Dutch Football Goalkeeper of the Year, he would then go on to retain the award for the next 3 consecutive years. He made a total of 226 appearances for Ajax and scored a penalty for Ajax to complete a 8–1 victory over De Graafschap in the 1997–98 season. He was in goal for Ajax in the 1996 UEFA Champions League Final, but had to make do with a runner-up medal as they lost the penalty shootout against Juventus. He enjoyed a long and successful stint in their senior side, winning the 1991–92 UEFA Cup and the 1994–95 UEFA Champions League, as well as the 1995 Best European Goalkeeper award. Even though he joined late he went into the reserve team and bided his time before getting his first-team call-up by Louis van Gaal. At a relatively late age, he was brought to the attention of Louis van Gaal, and subsequently signed for Ajax. He is considered, by critics and fellow players, as one of the best goalkeepers of all time.īorn in Voorhout, van der Sar began his career at his hometown club, Foreholte, and then VV Noordwijk. Van der Sar has won several individual awards, including Best European Goalkeeper in 19, and UEFA Club Goalkeeper of the Year in 2009. Along with being the most capped player for the Netherlands national team, with 130 caps, he is also the oldest player to win the Premier League, at 40 years and 205 days old. In the 2008–09 season he set the world league clean sheet record by not conceding a single goal for 1,311 minutes. Van der Sar also set numerous records in his career. Van der Sar is the second most decorated goalkeeper of all time (behind only Vitor Baia) and one of the most successful footballers ever, having won 27 major trophies in his career, mainly at Ajax and Manchester United. Van der Sar also won the UEFA Cup with Ajax in 1992. He is one of the few footballers to have won the UEFA Champions League with two different teams – with Ajax in 1995 and Manchester United in 2008 in the latter, he was also named UEFA Man of the Match. He remained there for nine years before moving to Italian club Juventus and then to England, first to Fulham and then to Manchester United. He started his senior career at Ajax and is considered to be a member of a golden generation of players at the club. He came out of retirement to play for Dutch amateur team VV Noordwijk. He currently works as the chief executive officer at Ajax. He is the second most capped player in the Netherlands national team's history. During his career he played for Ajax, Juventus, Fulham and Manchester United. Edwin van der Sar OON ( ) (born 29 October 1970) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper.

Fortunately, the tool has great control because all that power would be useless without being able to handle it properly. The GPH01D is the first tool we’ve tried in Makita’s new 40-volt XGT series, power tools with 40-volt motors but batteries that are the same size as a large 18-volt. Okay, it didn’t bore the most holes in this test, but it did get to its number faster than anything else. Knots don’t stop it and barely slow it down. So long as you keep that trigger pulled, it will just churn through hole after hole. Pull its trigger (floor it, if you will), and you just burn through one hole after another until the battery is done. Using this drill, you feel like somebody just tossed you the keys to their Ferrari. If you need this much power tool muscle you just need to have some muscle of your own. But as to the tool’s weight, we don’t count that as a mark against it. The other large-battery tools were the DeWalt (5.4 pounds) and the Makita (5.2 pounds), and these were also pro-duty, intended for either serious do-it-yourselfers or contractors. The FX1171T, with a 5-Ah battery, was the heaviest of the drills (5.8 pounds). You should know that this is clearly a heavy-duty tool intended for people who need maximum power and run time. We can’t fully vouch for that particular feature, but we can say that we pushed this Flex very hard and noticed no kick back the drill will pause momentarily if you really lean into it (call it a reset). The FX1171T blasted out its hole allotment, helped by its turbo mode setting that bumps up the top speed from 2,000 to 2,500 rpm.Īlso helping was the tool’s circuitry, which has an anti-kickback feature. We’ve tried a batch of these tools (drills, saws, rotary hammers and grinders) and find them to be formidable competitors in the professional segment. And when we say “muscling in,” we’re not kidding. Flex, short for Flex Elektrowerkzeuge, is a German power tool company muscling its way into the American market. ‘On a weekend evening, if you open the windows, you can hear the buzz of people, which might sound annoying, but we both quite like it it’s a feeling of life.’ ‘One thing I’m often asked is if it’s noisy,’ says Mr Williams. ‘Six months ago, I started my own company, Foxbrush Property, and now look after these historic buildings.’Īnother positive for the pair is being able to dip easily into watching blockbuster calendar events and soaking up the atmosphere, whether the recent coronation of Charles III or the annual New Year’s Eve celebrations (‘we have a fantastic view of the fireworks from the roof’) and they are unfazed by any potential hubbub. ‘I used to work as a management consultant in the energy industry, but, when we moved into our Georgian building, I realised that there are quite a few small, listed blocks of flats around here and it can be hard to find a good managing agent,’ he adds. Mr Williams lists everything from picking up Tuesday-night tickets for the English National Opera on a whim, before strolling home afterwards, to discovering little known yet lovely Victoria Embankment Gardens, as being only two reasons he loves living in the vicinity, but it’s also no exaggeration to say that being in Zone 1 has shaped his life in a much more fundamental way. There’s Columbia Road flower market, which I go to at the crack of dawn to avoid the crowds the Barbican is a nice walk away and we took over our favourite restaurant, Bistrotheque, for our wedding,’ she continues. ‘Our whole relationship has been in this patch of London we’re massive foodies and love the bars and culture. In this case, you're asking the AI to exude confidence in addressing the issue, focusing on solutions rather than dwelling on the problem. Prompt: "AI, respond to this negative review: 'Your product broke within a week of purchase.' Write in a confident and solution-oriented style." Prompt: "AI, draft a response to this negative review: 'The service at your restaurant was extremely slow, and the food was cold when it arrived.' Please write in a polite and empathetic tone."īy specifying the tone as "polite and empathetic," you're instructing the AI to approach the situation with understanding and respect, while remaining professional. Here are a few examples and explanations on how to guide the AI in adopting your preferred tone and style. Using AI chat to craft professional responses to negative reviews can be as simple as providing the right prompts. Example Prompts You Can Use for AI Chat (i.e., Chat GPT): You can use any number of free AI Chat services, including Chat GPT. This is where Artificial Intelligence (AI) chat can come into play, helping you craft professional, personalized responses in a timely manner. In the fast-paced world of online reviews, responding swiftly and effectively is essential. It's how you respond that counts! Use AI Chat to Write Review Replies Remember, a negative review isn't the end of the world. The disgruntled customer revised their review, praising the café for their excellent customer service, and became a regular patron. This response showed their commitment to customer satisfaction, transparency, and willingness to accept responsibility. He apologized for the long wait, explained that they were short-staffed that day, and invited the reviewer back for a complimentary meal. Instead of ignoring the review, the café owner responded promptly. Now, let's look at a case study that perfectly illustrates the power of an appropriate response.Ī local café received a scathing review about their slow service during peak hours. Here's what constitutes a violation of Yelp's guidelines (you can read more about Yelps guidelines here): If you come across a review that seems inappropriate or fake, you can report it to Yelp for possible removal. Not all reviews are created equal, and sometimes, they may violate Yelp's Content Guidelines. Here’s the actual process… Reporting a Review on Yelp for Takedown The semi-bad news is that regardless of whether or not you’re a Yelp advertising customer or not, the only way you can get rid of bad Yelp reviews is if the review itself is inappropriate and violates the Yelp TOS (terms of service), in which case you can report the review to Yelp and it will be reviewed for possible removal. It's time to embrace the challenge head-on! How to Get Bad Yelp Reviews Removed So, instead of losing sleep over those one-star ratings, let's roll up our sleeves and turn them into opportunities for growth and improvement. In the end, it's not just about the negative review itself, but how you handle it that counts. Ignoring negative reviews doesn't make them disappear it simply makes your business appear indifferent to customer feedback.Ī bad review left unanswered can create a snowball effect, deterring potential customers who might think you don't care about their experiences. The ramifications of NOT addressing these concerns can be far more damaging. And let's not forget the concern that competitors may be behind those scathing reviews (more about how to report a fake review in a bit). There's also the worry about a single negative review tarnishing years of hard work and dedication. Some fear the potential loss of customers, others dread the damage to their online reputation. But the common worries that plague businesses regarding negative Yelp reviews are many and varied.

Kemp said he wants to use the money to fund another income tax rebate similar to the rebate the Republican-controlled General Assembly passed this year, plus a one-time property tax rebate. “We have 19 hospitals at risk of closure, not including the six hospitals that have closed with this governor,” she said.Ī central issue in the debate was what the state should be doing with a bulging budget surplus of $6.6 billion. “We are funding K-12 education in this state more than we ever have per pupil … coming off a recession in the middle of a global pandemic,” he said.Ībrams said Kemp’s championing of legislation allowing Georgians to carry concealed firearms without a permit has made the state more dangerous, while his refusal to expand Medicaid is depriving 500,000 working Georgians of health coverage and putting hospitals out of business. Brian Kemp defended his record on education, crime, the economy, abortion, health care and voting rights Monday night against accusations by Democratic challenger Stacey Abrams that he is not meeting the needs of most Georgians.ĭuring an hourlong debate aired by Georgia Public Broadcasting, Kemp touted his efforts to target street gangs and human trafficking, reopen the state’s economy quickly following the onset of the pandemic and invest in public education. I live southern New England, where it gets nice and muggy in the summer and thunderstorms for almost all of the month of July. Gorilla Glue does not rely on the pores to bond and makes a pretty strong joint as does epoxy. If a previously glued joint comes loose, PVA glue does not bond effectively because the pores are clogged, which makes for a weak joint. That is because PVA makes incredibly strong joints on unfinished raw wood, but in the process clogs the wood pores. When repairing something like loose chair spreaders and spindles, it works well. I’m not a big fan of Gorilla glue because of the foaming - you have to keep wiping it for about half an hour - but it does have it’s uses. It works well for some applications, and sometimes is better than Titebond and other PVA glues on wood as explained below. Last month the bottle was still viable and I used it again, so it can be done. This time, after using a small amount, I followed the directions on the bottle and squeezed the air out of it before I capped it. Then about a year ago I needed Gorilla again for some reason and bought a new small bottle. I had that experience the first time I used Gorilla glue. Its a great way to get the stuff you need while helping support The Wood Whisperer! And if budget isn’t a factor and you don’t mind paying significantly more, you may as well just go with Titebond III and cover all the bases.Īnd speaking of Titebond glues, you can pick up all of your glue supplies and accessories in our Amazon Store. If you occasionally make outdoor projects and cutting boards, stock up on Titebond II instead. So bottom line is for indoor projects, all you really need is Titebond Original. A properly-fit joint with the appropriate amount of pressure will create an incredibly strong and reliable bond using any of the three glues. Well I don’t know about you guys, but I am not about to stock three different types of PVA glue just for the sake of a few hundred theoretical PSI. And then I used TB II on a project where TB III would have been stronger. I recently had someone give me crap for using TB III on a project when all I needed was Titebond Orginal. Check out the PSI strength ratings below. But in my opinion, not enough to justify paying the cost difference between the three varieties. Strength-wise, there are some differences as well. As an aside, you might also look at Titebond Extend if you need even more open time. So for those complex glue-ups, Titebond III would be a good choice. Titebond III offers twice the open time of Titebond II and Original. If you have a project that will be submerged for short periods or exposed to ambient moisture for extended periods, consider Titebond III. So if you have a project that will be exposed to light water (cutting boards, outdoor furniture, etc.), Titebond II will suffice. Titebond Original is for interior use only, Titebond II is water-resistant, and Titebond III is waterproof (well, technically its MORE water-resistant). The second difference is water resistance. Looking at Rockler’s current pricing on quarts, we have $8.59 for Titebond Original, $10.49 for Titebond II, and $13.99 for Titebond III. The first one you probably already noticed is the price. But in my opinion, there are only a few factors that really make a difference to the average woodworker. There are actually a number of differences between the three glue types if you dig into the details. Everyone has this question at one point or another. Is there any real significant difference between Titebond Original, II, and III wood glues? Is one really better than another? Thanks for your time. Hey Marc I have a really dumb question for you.
